IMPORTANT NOTE: Actors do their best work in an environment free of judgment. This workshop is open, relaxed, pressure-free, process-based, and is conducted in an atmosphere focused on growth, creativity, and exploration.
This workshop is designed to introduce techniques that will assist the actor in developing a relaxed and ready mind and body through guided meditation and movement; impulsive and outwardly-directed performance through focus, observation, and improvisation work; and performance that is richly layered with a sense of stillness, focus, place, and character & relationship in short scene work.
All of the work in this intensive is designed to allow the actor to explore their own natural creativity, to have ownership of the work they do, to be invigorated by this exploration, and to feel complete confidence in what they bring to a role - themselves and their own set of experiences.
What to wear: comfortable clothing appropriate for floor work and movement (what you'd wear to a yoga or dance class)
What to bring:
-towel
-open mind :-)
