Winding Road Announces “The Bar Series” Debut

(Tucson, Arizona) — Winding Road Theater Ensemble will present a reading of American Dream, a new play Brad Erickson, on Saturday April 17 at 11AM at the District Tavern, 260 E. Congress Street.  The event is the first in a series of new play readings appropriate for bar settings, and productions of plays set in bars.

American Dream is about the impact of immigration politics on the relationship between an Arizona man and his Mexican lover.  Erickson is coming to Tucson to hear the reading and to participate in a post-performance discussion with the audience.

Admission is free, but donations are highly encouraged.

Playwright Brad Erickson is the author of six plays, most of which have been produced in San Francisco and around the country.  He is the Executive Director of Theatre Bay Area, and frequently performs in regional theater productions.

Winding Road Theater is an Ensemble of theater artists whose mission is to tell dynamic, theatrical stories that illuminate the human condition and celebrate the theatre’s power to entertain us, move us and bring us joy. Guided by the principle that proscription is the enemy of imagination, they produce plays classic and new, traditional and unconventional, comic and tragic, and tell stories from as many perspectives as they are fortunate to discover.
