Nine Buddhas Pictures is shooting a short horror film on Saturday July 31 and or Sunday August 1 here in Tucson. An older couple becomes distraught because they could not repay a title loan, which led to their truck being seized, and the old man not being able to work. The couple decides to commit suicide together instead of asking their two adult children for financial help. When the adult son hears of his parents death (and the reason they took their own lives) he kidnaps the manager of the title loan store and plans to kill her after sharing certain unpleasantries with her. But his sister finds out what he has done and tries to convince him not to kill his hostage, but rather just to keep her alive as long as the title company does not reopen the store. But as with any good story, things go badly. Blood is spilled. Some characters don't make it home.

We are auditioning for five roles: the father (male 40 to 60); the mother (female 40 to 60); the brother (male between 18 and 35); the sister (female between 18 and 30) and the title store manager (female between 25 and 60). We are looking for people who can act -- not just people that look pretty and want to call themselves actors.

If you are interested in any of these roles (or a role as an extra) please send an e-mail with resume and headshot (if you have them) to Chris at ninebuddhas@gmail.com. If you don't have a resume describe your acting experience and if you don't have a headshot describe yourself. Because four characters are supposed to be related make sure to identify your ethnicity to help us put a realistic group.

No monetary compensation is offered but you will get title credit, a copy of the dvd, and great eats throughout the shoot.
