LaughingStock Comedy Company Discovers

What’s So Funny in Green Valley

Hilarious Comedy Duo Appear at Community Performing Arts Center in August

Tucson, Arizona – The LaughingStock Comedy Company brings its unique-brand of improvisational comedy to the Community Performing Arts Center, 1250 W. Continental Road, Green Valley, Arizona on August 17, 2010 at 7 p.m. for one night only. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and are available on the CPAC Web site at www.performingartscenter.org or by calling the box office at 520-399-1750.

LaughingStock Comedy Company partners Lesley Abrams and Dean Steeves will perform as a duo creating spontaneous-comedy scenes based on audience input. “Improvisational comedy is nothing like stand-up comedy,” says Abrams, “It’s a delightful combination of quick-witted comics and audience suggestions. It’s a wild ride and milk-spitting funny.”

Prior to LaughingStock’s arrival to Arizona in 1998 Abrams and Steeves performed together in Maine beginning in 1983 . According to Steeves, “We have a great compatibility on and off stage, maybe because in real life we are also husband and wife. Laughter is not just part of our life; it is our life, personally and professionally.” More information about LaughingStock’s corporate and association entertainment is available at their Web site www.laughing.com.

The Community Performing Arts Center is located in Green Valley, Arizona and owned by Pima County while operated by the Community Performing Arts Center Foundation. The public interest that guided the building of the Performing Arts Center began in the late 1980s with the formation of a partnership between the greater Green Valley community and the Foundation. Together, they maintain the facilities, continuously enhance it and fill its theaters with spectacular events. The newest addition (Phase II) of the Performing Arts Center was completed in January 2009.
