Toochey Films is casting lead and supporting roles for a new web series being produced in Tucson. The web series is based around Lynda, a Jewish mother moving to LA to make it big.

The series will be 5-7 minute episodes, single camera and well produced. This project requires people who aren’t afraid of improv. You don’t have to be funny but you have to want to workshop these characters. We’re looking for actors who will bring their own ideas and points of view to this production and take risks. There is no specific age range, demographic or sex for these three ladies. (ie. if you are an awesome drag queen, then you better rock it at the audition!) Make the character your own and come in ready to have fun.

Characters:

Lynda - Born and raised in Hoboken, NJ. She is loud in everything she does, wears, and says. Her motto “There’s no such thing...As too much bling!” Never afraid to say what everyone else is thinking, she referred to as the Betty White of Hoboken.

Syl - Lynda's best friend and sidekick. Syl is witness to all of Lynda's antics. Her humor is found in her reactions to Lynda. She is the yin to Lynda's yang. She is very supportive of Lynda... sometimes to her own detriment.

Lovey - Syl's daughter. Lovey is a bad ass when it comes to computers. She is incredibly knowledgeable but not in a stereotypical way. She is confident but never demeaning. Her knowledge is not used to belittle others but she’ll use it to make a point.

Rychard Montague - the soft spoken gay hairdresser, who is both in awe and fear of Lynda's New Jersey hair. Half of the web series will take place in Richard's fabulous upscale salon.

Ashley - the straight guy who does nails. He is an extremely masculine nail tech. The only reason he took the job was to pick up women. Little did he know he was a true "arteeeest" with the nails.

Auditions will be held at the Historic Y on Wednesday July 7th and Thursday July 8th from 6pm-8pm. Here's directions and parking info. http://www.zuzimoveit.org/html/about_directionsparking.html
