Subject: APC Gala, A Wrangling' Good Time, is 50% sold out

Hi to everyone of you theatre lovers'

I am proud to announce that the Alliance Performance Center's Gala, A Wrangling' Good Time, set for Sunday April 26 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (after all the performances let out), is 50% sold out. We have about fifty seats left. Due to the size of the restaurant, indoor and out, seating is limited.

The date was changed in order that those involved in various performances would be able to attend.  This event is a major theatre community gathering, created to benefit the establishment of a new performance facility for Tucson's numerous and talented production companies. Our ultimate goal is to find a suitable location that can and will provide for the needs of the individual companies and their patrons. This facility will need, parking, rest rooms, ADA compliance, a safe location, seating for 120+ people in a larger theatre, and, a smaller black-box. We will need, dressing rooms, rehearsal space, high ceilings, accessibility, electrical needs met, a viable shop in which to build sets and much, much more. This takes money. Money to attain the space and money to develop the property.

We have a great number of volunteers working on this event, to bring you the best of Tucson's own top-notch, award-winning talent to entertain you, an award-winning Barbecue Restaurant, The Hog Pit Smokehouse (This place smells so good, you may not want to leave), friends and fellow theatre community members, great silent auction items and a small, but powerful art auction. And, it's in a cozy, casual (Western clothes are up to you), environment. They even supply the napkins (you will need them).

The attached flyer says it all. A huge, championship barbecue, with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, salmon, salad, beans, cole slaw, potato salad, french fries, mac 'n cheese, onion rings, desert and more. Included in the price, you'll get 2 free drinks, wine, beer or well. There's also a no-host bar, for those who prefer more (single malt, anyone). And, if there's any room, home-made dessert. This is the real thing, folks!

Don't be left out. Don't listen to people at rehearsals talking about how great it was. Witness it for yourself. The Tucson theatre community has very few opportunities to party with fellow thespians. Save some money and book a table.

We hope to see ya'll there.
