TUCSON, AZ:  The Community Players are pleased to welcome “True Devotion Motown Revue” to perform at the Community Playhouse on March 28, 2015.  The concert will be the first in a series featuring solo artists or groups from the Tucson area.

     “True Devotion was a natural choice for us, “ says Scott Berg, President of The Community Players board of directors, “they are pure entertainment, devoted to the style of music they love, and have been performing locally for over 17 years.”  The group was formed 17 years ago under the name Stars Ink Motown Revue Show and quickly established themselves as local favorites.  Now known as True Devotion Motown Revue, these four distinguished gentlemen, Burney Starks, Rick Fuller, Floyd Robinson and Rod Rush, along with their DJ and Host Mr. T continue the tradition while performing selections from The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder and the Commodores.  “It’s the music we grew up on, and the music you can’t help but sing along to” says Burney Starks, member of True Devotion, “We are very excited about getting back on stage and showing Tucson about one of the greatest sounds of the past, The Motown Sound.”

     The Community Players concert series will continue with possible performances by Desert Melodies and The Presidio Boys.  Dates and times will be announced shortly. “The concert series is a way to hopefully bring these different groups to new audiences and let the audiences see just how talented their community is.  It is our goal, and always has been, to get the community involved in the arts.  Inspiration comes in many forms and if something we do inspires someone, then we have been successful.” concludes Berg. 

     The concert will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 7:30 pm.  The Community Playhouse is located at 1881 N. Oracle Road, Tucson, Az  85705.  For reservations call 520-887-6239.  Parking and main entrance are in the back.  Located south of Grant Road, turn right on Plata, turn left on 13^th Ave. and go to the parking lot entrance.
