An artistic blast from the past!  Arts America provides an opportunity for youth, grades 4-12, to discover the arts of America and the cultural influences that made them great! Each year we focus on a unique period in American history, exploring notable artists and moments from the time.  This dynamic summer program is held annually in coordination with Arts Express' July 4th production of Let Freedom Sing, a heartwarming celebration of our nation's birthday.

2015 THEME: The Groovy 1960's

June 8th – July 3rd 2015

Classes: Pop Art; Dance the Twist/Mashed Potato/Watusi; Visual Arts of the Hippie Movement; 1960's Sitcoms; music of the Beach Boys; Laugh-In comedy; 1960's Rock & Roll

Friday April 24, 2015 to Sunday April 26, 2015 Performed by a talented cast of blind, deaf as well as seeing and hearing student actors. Using synchronized speaking and signing, this heartwarming musical love story will be retold, filled with unforgettable characters and dazzling production numbers including "Be Our Guest" and the beloved title song. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, this eye-popping spectacle has won the hearts of over 35 million people worldwide. Disney's Beauty and the Beast is a production of Arts Express' Building careACTOR program.
