A valuable opportunity for southern Arizona's creative community is taking place in Tucson this Friday, December 4 at 4pm. Film Tucson and the UA Hanson Film Institute will present WHERE'S THE MONEY? How to Finance an Independent Film. Free to all, this panel discussion will reveal up-to-the-minute, insider information about how to finance your independent film or TV project. If you have a screenplay, an idea for a film, or are simply interested to know how the film business works, this panel is for you. Four Los Angeles-based professionals at the forefront of film financing are travelling to Tucson to take part. One is a CAA agent. Two happen to be University of Arizona alumni. All of them are expert at finding the money for film financing, using all types of domestic and foreign resources, incentives, presales, investors, and co-productions.
The four panellists include President/COO of Voltage Pictures and UA alum Jonathan Deckter, entertainment attorney and UA alum Glen Mastroberte, CAA agent Maren Olson, and independent producer of more than 20 films, Matthew Rhodes.
