Subject: A weekend of rhythm and readings at The Rogue!
Join us for Hachi Hachi and War Boys
On Saturday, January 30th, The Rogue Theatre and Odaiko Sonora are hosting UNIT SOUZOU, a nationally recognized Japanese dance and drum ensemble from Portland, Oregon. We've got two shows: 2:00 matinee and 7:30 evening. I personally can't wait to see them. Tickets are just $18 in advance ($20 at the door).
"THE WAR BOYS by Naomi Wallace is a vital
three-man play
about the informal policing of the Mexican border in Texas
by racially screwed-up,
sadistic vigilantes."
--Time-Out
And on Sunday afternoon, January 31st at 2:00 p.m., we're presenting a staged reading of an uncompromising play by Naomi Wallace, that will make us all think hard about where we live. I've been listening to rehearsals and the play is vivid and chilling. Directed by Matt Bowdren and featuring Connor Foster, Lucas Gonzales, and Christopher Johnson. Tickets are just $15.
"Known for their fusion of taiko and Japanese folk dance, co-directors Michelle Fujii and
Toru Watanabe
of UNIT SOUZOU present an intricate weaving of taiko, dance and theatre."
--Odaiko Sonora
Join us for one or both by calling the Rogue box office (520-551-2053) or you can always buy tickets on-line with NO added fees.
Here's to a wonderful week!
