UA Prof. David Sterling Brown
presents
"SHAKESPEAREAN DRAMA:
THE GENRE OF PARENTAGE"

The event, presented as a part of our regular OPP meeting schedule, is FREE and open to all interested in new explorations into Shakespeare's drama as well as practicing playwrights, novelists, storytellers, and screenwriters.
David Sterling Brown is a specialist in early modern drama, and is committed to a teaching and research agenda that transcends identity politics and "connects the academic to the personal and experiential." His writing has dealt with race, gender, and family in early modern as well as African-American literature. An upcoming monograph will focus on parental roles in Shakespeare to better understand the English family of the period.
