The Santa Cruz Shoestring Players conclude their eighth season of shows with Tim Kelly's "Life on the Bowery"  directed by Regina Ford.  Opening night is April 7 at 7PM, followed by a champagne reception. The run continues April 8 - 9 and  15 - 16  at 7PM. One matinee performance will be presented on April 17 at 3:00PM.

This comedic melodrama was first produced in 1985 at the Stardust Theatre Company in Los Angeles, CA.  The script is based on Robert Neilson Stephens' American classic "On the Bowery" which features Steve Brodie, a real-life character who was the only man to jump from the Brooklyn Bridge and live to tell about it. He made a spectacular success on the stage with an exciting turn-of-the-century "mellerdrammer" that depicted the wild and wicked deeds encountered in New York's infamous Bowery.

This production will also feature music from the period in olio form.

All performances are at the Community Performance & Art Centre, 1250 W. Continental Road in Green Valley, AZ.

Tickets for reserved seating are $15 and $20 in advance: all tickets at the door are $20.  For reservations and advance tickets call CPAC office at 520-399-1750.
