Subject: AZ Rose Opera Company call for young singers
Children's Chorus Needed!!
The Arizona Rose Opera Company is producing Engelbert Humperdinck's beloved opera "Hansel and Gretel." They are looking for strong singers ages 7-17 to sing in the gingerbread chorus at the end of the opera. Singers will be fully costumed and will receive two comp tickets to the preview night show on Thursday, September 28th. This is a wonderful resume building opportunity and a chance to work with professional opera singers. The deadline to sign up is September 1st. The chorus rehearsal schedule is below:
Saturday, 9/9 2-4 pm
Wednesday, 9/13 7:30-9:30 pm
Tuesday, 9/19 7:00-9:30 pm
Saturday, 9/23 1-4 pm
Tech Week: 9/25, 9/26, 9/27, 9/28 7:30-9:30 pm
Shows: 9/29 @ 7:00 pm, 9/30 @ 7:00 pm, and 10/1 @ 2:00 pm
All rehearsals will take place at Arts for All (Oracle and Grant) or the AZ Rose Theatre in the Tucson Mall. All shows will be held at the AZ Rose Theatre. No audition is necessary, but singers are expected to be able to hold a part and learn their music before the first rehearsal. They are looking for 4-6 strong lyrical dancers (high school to college age) to perform in the opera. All dancers will receive two comp tickets to the preview night show on Thursday, September 28th. This is a wonderful resume building opportunity and a chance to work with some very talented professionals. The deadline to sign up is September 1st. The dance rehearsal schedule is below:
Friday, 9/15 7:30-10:00 pm
Wednesday, 9/20 7:00-9:30 pm
Thursday, 9/21
Friday, 9/22
Saturday, 9/23 1-4 pm
Tech Week: 9/25, 9/26, 9/27, 9/28 7:30-9:30 pm
Shows: 9/29 @ 7:00 pm, 9/30 @ 7:00 pm, and 10/1 @ 2:00 pm
