WINDING ROAD THEATER ENSEMBLE
AUDITION NOTICE
PRODUCTION: The Fantasticks, Tom Jones/Harvey Schmidt musical classic
DATE: Tuesday August 29th 5-8 pm
LOCATION: Eckstrom-Columbus Library, 4350 E 22nd St, Tucson
AUDITION INFORMATION: Auditions by appointment only. Please bring one copy of your headshot and resume.
Audition will consist of readings from the script, no monologue necessary.
For singing roles, bring sheet music for one ballad AND one up-tempo song in your key. Accompanist will be provided.
AVAILABLE ROLES:
The Girl: teens to 20s, soprano, a dreamy damsel
The Boy: teens to 20s, light baritone, a callow youth
El Gallo: 30s-50s, baritone, a handsome stranger
The Fathers: 40s to 60s, baritone and bari-tenor, frenemies with a common goal, comic roles
The Old Actor: 50+. A Shakespearean actor past his prime. Non singing role
Mortimer: 40s-60s,The Old Actor's sidekick. Non singing comedic role. Physical comedy a plus.
The Mute: Male or female, teens-40s. Non singing role. Ethereal and expressive. Dance ability a plus.
