Roadrunner Theatre Family Shows presents The Princess Knight
March 3 to April 28, 2018
Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.
Roadrunner Theatre, 8892 E Tanque Verde Rd.
It is a dark time for the kingdom of Brier Oak. The noble King Albert has been imprisoned by his brother who has usurped his throne. Acting on the king's instructions, his young heir Prince Durum has gone into hiding. He will attempt to evade his uncles wicked forces long enough to form an army, and take back his father's land. Meanwhile, in the kingdom of Glyndufin, everything is peaceful and prosperous--which is probably a good thing because the knights of Glyndufin are extremely lazy and would be unable to defend it if it weren't. The lack of foreign threat has allowed the kingdom's rulers, King Stefan and Queen Victoria, to focus on other concerns, such as finding a prince to marry their daughter Aurora. There's just one problem: she happens to be the ugliest princess in all the land, and has her mind set on being more of a knight than princess. Will the meeting of such a tomboy princess, and a foreign trashman with a mysterious past be the event that solves everyone's problems, or will further complications arise to endanger the futures of both Glyndufin and Brier Oak?
