open auditions for our 2018/2019 10th Season

Sat Mar 3: 12pm-2:45pm
CALLBACKS: Sun Mar 1pm-4pm (by invitation only)
LOCATION: Martha Cooper Library 1377 N Catalina Ave, Tucson, AZ 85712
Auditioners should come prepared with a current headshot, resume and one memorized contemporary monologue, no more than 2 minutes in length. If you do not have a prepared monologue, WRTE will provide sides to be read as your audition.

Winding Road Theater Ensemble will be casting roles for men and women age twenties to 65+ in its upcoming season of productions. In addition to our main stage shows, we will be producing multiple Readers Stage productions. Auditioners will be considered for all available roles in the following productions, as well as an additional reading stage production TBD:

Original songs composed by James Sugg draw the famously subtextual inner thoughts of Chekhov's characters explicitly to the surface. Chosen Child by Monica Bauer
(Staged Reading: Feb/Mar 2019)
A schizophrenic man waits in a bus terminal for a sister he barely knows to fulfill a promise that she never made. A play about mothers, memories and the ties that may-or may not- bind, Chosen Child is an intergenerational family drama that explores some big themes: adoption, abandonment, secrets, and forgiveness—played out over more than six decades.
