Good People by David Lindsay-Abaire

(Oct/Nov 2018)

Welcome to Southie, a Boston neighborhood where a night on the town means a few rounds of bingo, where this month's paycheck covers last month's bills, and where Margie Walsh has just been let go from yet another job. Facing eviction and scrambling to catch a break, Margie thinks an old fling who's made it out of Southie might be her ticket to a fresh new start. But is this apparently self-made man secure enough to face his humble beginnings? Margie is about to risk what little she has left to find out. With his signature humorous glow, Lindsay-Abaire explores the struggles, shifting loyalties and unshakeable hopes that come with having next to nothing in America.  (MOST ROLES IN GOOD PEOPLE ARE CURRENTLY CAST.)

Stupid F#!*ing Bird by Aaron Posner

(Jan/Feb 2019)

An aspiring young director rampages against the art created by his mother's generation. A nubile young actress wrestles with an aging Hollywood star for the affections of a renowned novelist. And everyone discovers just how disappointing love, art, and growing up can be. In this irreverent, contemporary, and very funny remix of Chekhov's The Seagull, Aaron Posner stages a timeless battle between young and old, past and present, in search of the true meaning of it all. Original songs composed by James Sugg draw the famously subtextual inner thoughts of Chekhov's characters explicitly to the surface. STUPID F#!*ING BIRD will tickle, tantalize, and incite you to consider how art, love, and revolution fuel your own pursuit of happiness.

Consolation by Toni Press-Coffman

(Staged Reading: September 2018)

21st Century Woman meets the unsung First Ladies of American history, in an other-worldly evening of confrontation, contemplation and celebration.

It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis

(Staged Reading: Nov 2018)

A cautionary dark satire about the fragility of democracy and how fascism can take hold even in the land of liberty, IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE follows the ascent of a demagogue who becomes president of the United States by promising to return the country to greatness. From Sinclair Lewis' eerily prescient 1935 novel.

Chosen Child by Monica Bauer

(Staged Reading: Feb/Mar 2019)

A schizophrenic man waits in a bus terminal for a sister he barely knows to fulfill a promise that she never made. A play about mothers, memories and the ties that may-or may not- bind, Chosen Child is an intergenerational family drama that explores some big themes: adoption, abandonment, secrets, and forgiveness—played out over more than six decades.
