Old Pueblo Playwrights Debuts at Tucson Fringe Festival
TUCSON, ARIZ.—Jan. 1, 2020—Old Pueblo Playwrights will present an eclectic suite of original plays in a special off-book production at The 2020 Tucson Fringe Festival. The five 10-minute plays were written and will be directed by OPP members.
"We normally present only staged readings but chose to 'fly without a net' for our first-ever Fringe production," explained OPP President and playwright John Vornholt.
"Audiences may post comments on Facebook at Old Pueblo Playwrights since the hour time slot does not permit our usual talkback. We also invite theatre-lovers to attend one of our Monday night meetings where local dramatists perfect their work via table readings and moderated critiques. Select plays enjoy a staged reading at our annual New Play Festival now in its 29th year." The 2020 festival will be held the week of March 23 at St. Francis in the Foothills.
NOTE: Some of the plays to be presented at Fringe were stage-read at a past OPP festival.
