Subject: Winding Road Presents: Angels Fall
"Seeing that all this world shall be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought we to be?"
Father Doherty
Set in a remote part of New Mexico, six people find themselves in a small mission church, brought together by the closing of a highway due to a possible accident at a nearby nuclear facility. Brightly humorous and deeply affecting, Angels Fall becomes a parable of calling and crossroads which, in exploring the lives of its characters, illuminates the human condition. This American classic was nominated for two Tony Awards, including Best Play.
This site-specific production will be produced at the beautifully restored St Francis Chapel on the grounds of St. Luke's Home. Not often open to the public, this is a rare opportunity to see this jewel of Tucson, designed by famed Tucson architect Josias Joesler. The excellent ensemble cast features Susan Cookie Baker, Shanna Brock, Winding Road Co-Artistic Director Glen Coffman, David Alexander Johnston, Cole Potwardowski and Luke Salcido. Winding Road is thrilled to announce that Angels Fall is directed by renowned actor/director Molly Lyons.
Angels Fall opens with a preview performance Thursday February 13 and plays Fridays through Sundays at the historic St. Francis Chapel at St. Luke's Home, located at 639 E Adams St in Tucson. Because of the chapel's reduced seating capacity, we strongly encourage you to make your reservations early! You won't want to miss this very special production.
