BORDERLANDS THEATER TO PRESENT THE STAGED READING OF " LA SANGRE LLAMA" BY
TONI PRESS-COFFMAN, AUGUST 21 AT THE SOUTHSIDE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 317 W.
23RD STREET.

"La Sangre Llama" (Blood Calls) is a new play by Tucson playwright Toni
Press-Coffman with original music by San Francisco based composed William
Hammond Jr. The play intertwines the magical world of Afro-Caribbean
Santeria with the everyday life of a Latino family. The play is in English.

Borderlands Theater is developing "La Sangre Llama" under its Border
Playwrights Program. The staged reading with music is directed by Eva
Tessler, with live music by Will Hammond and Tucson percussionist Mike
Vercelli.
