with Pie Social and "Broadway" The Bisbee Community Chorus will open its
19th season with their famous Pie Social and Variety Show, "Bisbee Does
Broadway," featuring the vocal music of some of your favorite Broadway hits.
The many solo and ensemble numbers will include "One" from A Chorus Line,
"Till There Was You" from The Music Man, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from
The Wizard of Oz and "Big Spender" from Sweet Charity." The show-stopping
finale will be "Do You Hear the People Sing" from Les Miserables. The show
will be directed by Alicia Caron, music teacher at Bisbee Middle School, and
accompanied by Bisbee's favorite pianist, Carol Park. Patrons will check in
first at the Bisbee Community Y, 26 Howell Street, for their pie and move
next door for the performance at the Covenant Presbyterian Church Annex.
Shows will be Friday and Saturday, September 22 and 23 at 7:00 pm, with pie
served from 5:30-6:30 pm. There will be a matinee on September 24 at 3:00
pm, with pie from 1:20-2:30 pm. Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 at
the door. Tickets are available in advance from any chorus member and in
Bisbee at Atalanta's Music & Books, Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum,
Bisbee Visitor Center, Bisbee Chamber of Commerce and Bisbee Office Supply.
