"KIDS ALIVE"
KIDS BETWEEN THE AGES OF  8-18
 
A SIX WEEK ACTING /SINGING DANCING CLASS ENDING IN A FULL MUSICAL PRODUCTION AT BEOWULF ALLEY THEATRE 
SEPTEMBER 18--OCTOBER 22 (5:00 - 8:00 PM) 
DIRECTOR JOE MARSHALL
 
Children will be exposed to the magic of musical theater through this program. They will be participants in musical theater workshops and classes, and performers in a full musical productions. KIDS ALIVE was founded to provide kids a place where they can develop individual talents while being a vital part of a group. About the Director:
 
JOE MARSHALL: A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City's summer program, Joe Marshall continued his education at Arizona Technical Institute, graduating with an F.C.C. License in broadcast communication.  Joe has appeared as an actor in more than 35 shows and three films, to include the movie "Postcards from America" and a national tour of  the play "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."  Joe also has directed and choreographed more than thirty award-winning productions.  He also was the director of children's programming at Theatre Works for two years, winning five Peoples Choice awards.   He has produced and written seven plays that have premiered in Phoenix, Arizona.  His play "A Night in Vegas" received two AriZoni awards: Best Original Script and Best Overall Production.  His play "A Positive Moment" has drawn a lot of attention and is still a box-office smash in Arizona.  Beforehand, "Dirty Secrets" had a very successful run in San Diego. 

Joe's most recent works include producing and directing "The Player", directing "Falsettos" and held the principle role as Max in "Bent."   Joe has volunteered as a Valley Big Brother for two years and summer camp counseler for the J.C.C.  Joe has recently finished the film "Me an Edith Head" (now on DVD) and has three new plays he is working on and awaiting production.
