Subject: Tucson Community Theatre presents Maricela de la Luz Lightsthe
World

For Immediate Release:

Tucson Parks and Recreation Community Theatre presents its Holiday
production, Maricela de la Luz Lights the World, by Obie Award-Winning
playwright Jose Rivera, directed by David M. Felix.

One week before Christmas, 11 year-old Maricela and her younger brother,
Riccardo, are shopping at a mall in sunny San Diego when suddenly it begins
to snow. All the adults disappear, the world goes haywire and Xbalanque,
the Mayan Moon God, appears from no where and tells the children it's up to
them to rescue his twin brother, the Sun God, from the clutches of the
Trickster Loki or the world will end in ice!

A farcical holiday romp full of mythological characters where kids are the
real heroes," Maricela" is fun and uplifting for families and people of all
ages.

Show times are 7:30 PM Wednesday December 6th - 10th and 13th -17th at the
Performing Arts Building Auditorium at the Randolph Center 200 S.
Alvernon Way.

Admission is Free.
