For Immediate Release

Bisbee's Obscure Productions Second Annual "Eat the Opening"

Many years ago, "Eat the Opening" was a regular event in the Old Bisbee Arts
Community. Last year Bisbee's Obscure Productions brought back the fun, the
edible art and the entertainment for its first fundraiser. They are now
readying their second annual event. Patrons will view, judge and eat edible
artwork on the afternoon of Sunday, January 21, 2007, at the St. John's
Episcopal Church Hall, 19 Sowles Avenue in Old Bisbee.

Artists in three age categories will create the edible art. Local
dignitaries will judge the results, not on taste but on artistic merit.
Prize categories are: Best Kids 8-12, Best Teens 13-19, and for Adults,
Funniest, Most Original and Most Elegant. There will a Silent Auction and
entertainment all evening. Entertainers will include La Luna Tunes and Becky
Reyes.

Entries will be dropped off between 2:00-3:00 pm on the 21st. Viewing begins
at 3:00 pm and "Eat the Opening" at 5:00 pm.

Tickets for adults in advance will be $12 at Atalanta's Music & Books, the
Bisbee Food Coop and Bisbee Visitors Center. Adults will be $15 at the door.
Tickets for kids accompanied by an adult and teens will be
$5 at the door only. Tickets for entrants will be $8.

Bisbee's Obscure Productions is a community theater whose mission is to
provide the widest variety of performance opportunities for the Bisbee
community and to foster liaisons with Bisbee area arts and service groups.
Obscure has no regular home and has performed at Bisbee Woman's Club,
Central School, Bisbee's City Park and Hot Licks Saloon. They have produced
comedy and drama, original material and plays from established playwrights.
In March, Bisbee's Obscure Productions will present Paula Vogel's, "The
Oldest Profession" and in June their own "Aladdin." The funds raised at "Eat
the Opening" will go toward storage and rehearsal space.

Bisbee's Obscure Productions is incorporated as an Arizona nonprofit and has
Federal nonprofit status under the umbrella of Cochise County Learning
Advisory Council. All contributions are greatly appreciated and tax
deductible.
