Three generations of the Frye family come together on an August weekend at their summer home in the Berkshires, where they must share a critical decision as their 84 year-old matriarch faces the anguish of encroaching old age. As the reunion gathers momentum, some members' long-smoldering resentments ignite into open hostility, while others experience a moving affirmation of enduring love and loyalty.
