BORDERLANDS THEATERTO PRESENT THE PLAY SCHOOL OF THE AMERICAS BY JOSÉ RIVERA, MARCH 27-APRIL 6, 2008, AT THE CABARETTHEATRE, TEMPLE OF MUSIC AND ART, 330 S. SCOTT AVENUE.

Set in the Bolivian jungle, this poignant play by theOscar-nominated writer of the MotorcycleDiaries, takes us to the last day in the life of Che Guevara. Wounded and defeated, Che is captured andheld in a one-room schoolhouse. JuliaCortes, the village schoolteacher, insists she be given permission to speak tothe famous revolutionary. This historic encounter is at the heart of the play.
Directed by Eva Tessler. Featuring Armando Ortega (L.A), Marissa Garcia,Dwayne Palmer, Angelica Rodenbeck, Jason Chavez and Gilberto Cardenas. Livemusic by Rebeca Cartes from Bwiya Toli
