Position Summary
The University of Arizona College of Fine Arts seeks a dynamic, experienced and visionary Director to lead the School of Theatre Arts.
The School of Theatre Arts has been a free-standing academic unit for 71 years earning School status in 2001. It currently has (220) undergraduate majors and (20) graduate students and offers a BA in Theatre, BFA in Musical Theatre, BFA in Theatre Production (Acting, Design/Technology, Theatre History and Dramaturgy), BFA in Education and Outreach, MA in Theatre Studies and an MFA in Design and Technology.
The School of Theatre Arts is a member of the University/Resident Theatre Association (U/RTA), which serves to integrate the academic and professional theatres across the nation, and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST).

Duties and Responsibilities
Candidate will provide leadership in the pursuit of current and new goals, including:
* Serve as the chief academic and administrative supervisor and chief fiscal officer of the School of Theatre Arts.
* Represent the School on the College of Fine Arts' team-based Strategic Planning Task Force and Executive Committee.
* Serve as Producing Director for the Arizona Repertory Theatre season and guide artistic vision in collaboration with Artistic Director.
* Provide leadership for the School's current and future curricular plans and development.
* Support and balance the needs of the School's divisions and programs.
* Serve as the primary advocate for the School in academia and in the community.
* Expand the School's ability to draw upon the resources of alumni, philanthropic, community and industry-based groups through creative entrepreneurship.

Additional Minimum Qualifications
* MFA or PHD and evidence of accomplishments that merit appointment as a tenured full professor.
* Proven record of successful leadership in an organizational or administrative environment.
* Broad-based knowledge of theatre history and production that supports the high profile training programs.
* Demonstrated success in developing and supporting cultural and curricular diversity in the academic community.
* Experience and demonstrated success in fundraising, development and community outreach.
