King Henry V plays in Phoenix March 26-29 and in Tucson April 2-5.
Interesting tidbits from the PR department at Arizona Theatre Company
Yesterday I had the pleasure of sitting down with Artistic Director David Ira Goldstein and discuss King Henry V. ATC is presenting this Shakespearean History play, produced by The Acting Company and The Guthrie Theater. David recently saw this production and was able to share some great information with me:
- The set is a “unit set,” and it is very industrial with two levels.
- There are 12 actors playing 40 parts, and the show is directed by Davis McCallum.
- The show is very theatrical and features extremely dramatic staging, lighting and sound (which David compared to our production elements in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde)
