Additional Casting for "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" - Miramax Films

"Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" is a Miramax Films, feature Film produced by Guillermo Del Toro and Mark Johnson. Directed by Troy Nixey and written by Guillermo Del Toroa and Matthew Robbins. The film is based on the teleplay by Nigel McKeand.

Role:

SALLY HURST - LEAD. Female child, 8 to 12 years old, bright, and mature for her age. Sally is a bit serious and even sad. Sally lives with her Mom in California but is heading to New England to spend time with her father. Having not spent much time with him their relationship is strained and the presence of his girlfriend seems to complicate things. Her father lives in the old Blackwood Mansion, which he is restoring, and shortly after arriving Sally discovers a secret room with mysterious inhabitants. [please note: Sally is scripted as 8 years. Anyone older should play younger than they are.]
