Studio Connections Presents Once Upon A Mattress, Thursday February 19th

Tucson, AZ; January 26, 2009
– Following on the success of The Dining Room, Studio Connections is pleased to present
Once Upon A Mattress the hysterical story of Prince Dauntless the Drab and his quest to nab a wife!

Join Director Robert Encila, and his da Vinci Players, for a hilarious rendition of this Tony award winning play based
on the timeless classic – The Princess and the Pea.

Hark at the call of trumpets as Sir Harry, whose girlfriend Lady Larken has a very compelling reason to wed, plays matchmaker
and presents Princess Winnifred the Woebegone to the royal court!  Tag along and watch as "Fred" struggles to complete the
intricate tests set down by her nemesis, Queen Aggravaine, an oedipal nightmare of a woman intent on derailing a royal marriage.

Written by Jay Thompson, Marshall Barer, and Dean Fuller, with a musical score by Mary Rogers, Once Upon a Mattress
promises to delight with its clever servants, quirky lovers, and riotous songs.
