LITERACY + ARTS = AN OUT OF THIS WORLD CELEBRATION

Literacy Connects is thrilled to announce the 7th annual Best of Stories that Soar!, an imagination-fueled season finale. This year’s Best of Stories that Soar! fundraising event will feature two completely different shows, each showcasing seven of the fourteen schools Stories that Soar! visited this year. Between shows, the Satellite Celebration will feature VIP treatment for the authors, entertainment, face-painting, a Stories that Soar! Books display, activities to get to know Literacy Connects, free snacks and more.

This year, students at Tucson elementary schools fed the hungry, story-eating Magic Box thousands of stories. Once the Magic Box is stuffed full, it returns to Story Headquarters, where the Stories that Soar! professional acting ensemble selects some of the stories and returns them to the students in a magical way—a live theatre performance.

Best of Stories that Soar! combines some of the most innovative and insightful pieces of the season to provide a current snapshot into the minds and lives of these young writers. From silly to scary, sweet to serious, there is something for everyone. Both Best of STS! shows are guaranteed to be an out of this world adventure!

So, if you are wondering where you can you find mystical owls and raging tornadoes alongside tender monsters and love-struck fairies, look no further and get your tickets now for Best of Stoires that Soar!

Best of Stories that Soar! will be held May 20th at the Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Avenue. The shows are at 4:00 and 6:30, with the Satellite Celebration from 5:00-6:30 in the Temple of Music and Art Courtyard.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 & under. Tickets are available for purchase at Antigone Books and online.
