Happy Friday Everyone!
We hope you have had a beautiful week!
It has been a wonderful week with Rosangela Silvestre in town!

This Tuesday, May 22nd, there will be an Open House and Residency Performance with Batucaxe~
featuring Rosangela Silvestre and her Residency Students!
An informal community gathering of class attendees and the movement explored during the Tucson residency!
This is a wonderful way to experience a Batucaxe rehearsal as well! 
We invite everyone to stay after the performance and join in the groove with the Batucaxe dancers while the Batucaxe band rehearses some rockin' music!!

Donations gratefully accepted~ Refreshments will be available.

There are three more opportunities to dance and grow with Rosangela Silvestre before her Arizona residency is over!!!

Classes are for ALL LEVELS of experience, including those who have never attended before. Rosangela's teaching is inspiring and transformative, and dance is for everyone!
Classes are $12 or $10 for students.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:


ORIXA DANCE MOVEMENT:
Symbols in Motion. A study of the connections between the rhythms and the traditional movement, archetype and mythology, of the Orixa dances interpreted as an art form. Discover how sacred symbolism inspires the body to dance. Orixa is the Essence of the Universe.

SILVESTRE TECHNIQUE: A contemporary Brazilian technique of dance based in the three triangle body form, the four elements of nature, and the chakras. The objective is the conditioning of the dancer through physical and expressive training - regardless of level or previous experience.

Batucaxé (pronounced bah-too-cah-SHEH, which means "the blessing of the beat") is a non-profit drum and dance ensemble and school in Tucson, Arizona. Inspired by the music of Brazil, Batucaxé features the music of many traditions, from Brazil and all over the world.
