ARIZONA ONSTAGE PRODUCTIONS WELCOMES SEASON 12 WITH THE INTERNATIONAL MUSICAL SENSATION LES MISERABLES  - August 8th - 17th at the Berger Performing Arts Center

Winner of over 100 International awards, The Tony Award-winning musical blockbuster, "Les Misérables," the epic tale of passion and redemption in 19th century France, is staged by Arizona Onstage Productions on August 8, 9 and 10, 7pm, 16, 2 and 7pm and 17, 2pm at the Berger Center for Performing Arts, 1200 E. Speedway Blvd, Tucson. August 8th will be a special press night for Tucson theater and media VIPs and other invited guests. 


Featuring a cast of more than 40 actors, this production is directed by Kevin Johnson, with musical direction by Hank Feldman, vocal direction by Elliot Jones, and choreography by Debbie Runge.


Les Miserables has  been seen by over 100 million people live onstage, and the recent Academy Award nominated and winning movie version has been seen by over one billion people.


 Arizona Onstage Productions will present Les Miserables at the Berger Performing Arts Center, a 500 seat venue known for excellent acoustics, extremely comfortable seating - as well as free, secured lighted parking.


The stirring and unforgettable score includes "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "Do You Hear the People Sing?," "One Day More," "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," "Master of the House" and many more. 
 

This production will feature the full Broadway production orchestrations, utilizing over 30 instruments and 13 professional musicians. 


Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, its music is by Claude Michel Schonberg, with original French text by Alain Boublil and English lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer.
