Auditions for the 2015-2016 Season

 

 

The Rogue Theatre will hold auditions for the following roles on Saturday, May 9th, 12:00 – 5:00 pm at the theatre at 300 E. University Blvd.

HAMLET by William Shaekspeare, directed by Cynthia Meier

 

October 15-November 22, 2015 (in rotating repertory with Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, rehearsals begin July 28, 2015)

 

·      Four versatile actors to play multiple roles including Barnardo, Marcellus, Ghost, Fortinbras, Players, Reynaldo, Gravediggers and others (also cast in R&G)

 

 

ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD by Tom Stoppard, directed by Cynthia Meier

 

October 15-November 22, 2015 (in rotating repertory with Hamlet, rehearsals begin September 1, 2015)

 

·      Four actors to play Players, including Albert (also cast in Hamlet)

 

 

BY THE BOG OF CATS by Marina Carr, directed by Joseph McGrath

 

January 7 - 24, 2016, rehearsals begin November 10, 2015

 

·      Monica (50-60 year old woman)

 

·      Mrs. Kilbride (50-60 year old woman)

 

·      Josie (7 year old girl)

 

·      Father Willow (~70 year old man)

 

·      Young Dunne (young man)

 

 

MISS JULIE by August Strindberg, directed by Cynthia Meier

 

Feb. 25 - March 13, 2016, rehearsals begin Jan. 12, 2016

 

·      Christine (30-40 year old woman)

 

 

THE BRIDGE OF SAN LUIS REY by Thornton Wilder, directed by Joseph McGrath

 

April 21 - May 8, 2016, rehearsals begin March 1, 2016

 

·      Pepita (young woman)

 

 

 

All actors who have not previously worked with The Rogue Theatre should bring a headshot and resume and prepare a 2-minute classical monologue. 

 

Actors who have previously worked at The Rogue are invited to read at callbacks on May 23rd.

 

 Please email director@TheRogueTheatre.org for audition appointment.

 

Callbacks will be held Saturday, May 23rd from noon – 4:00 p.m.

 

All actors are paid.  AEA welcome.
