To develop efficient function of the pelvic floor prenatally, postnatally, after menopause, for sports and to alleviate symptoms of prolapse and incontinence.
This workshop is an innovative approach the combines the latest research in pelvic floor function with The Feldenkrais Method(R) of Somatic Education. The Feldenkrais Method has been around for over sixty years and has helped millions of people recover function after illness, injury or trauma or simply improve their overall performance for athletics or dance.
The exercises are effective for improving bladder control, reducing back or pelvic pain, and recovering from childbirth, abdominal or prostate surgery or trauma. They are also useful for sexual functioning, digestive troubles and hip problems. Equestrians, dancers and movement teachers will find application in their own field. Please wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to lie on a mat on the floor.
Tammy Rosen Wilbur is the co-founder and former director of NEW ARTiculations Dance Theatre for which she choreographed, performed and taught. She is also the founder of The DanceLoft, where she still teaches. In addition to NEW ART, she performed with FUNHOUSE Movement Theater, Tenth Street Danceworks and O-T-O Dance. She is a practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method(R) of somatic education.

ZUZI! Dance and ConDanza Repertory Company are sharing the stage for a spring concert titled, "In the Moment." The two companies will be premiering new work combined with deeper explorations of previous choreography, focusing on themes of embodiment and temporal presence. ZUZI! Dance will be presenting a continuation of a dance that premiered in the fall, expanding it in six connected sections by dancers aged 11-60. "Coming, Going, Returning" is inspired by concepts of love and letting go, and will combine modern and aerial dance with poetry and vocal accompaniment by Sally Withers.
ConDanza will perform several pieces, including "Paths", which premiered in 2001 in a tour to Venezuela. This performance will feature added choreography by company members Chris Smith, Shannon Taylor, and Shelby Taylor and the addition of ConDanzita, the youth professional training company. ConDanza will also perform "Ludico" with dancer Amie Kilgore and our director, César R' Degollado. This contemporary pas de deux was created in 1999 and has been performed in Tucson, San Francisco, San Jose, Berkeley, Scotland, Venezuela, and Mexico, where it won honorable mention at a national choreography competition in 2001.
