Short film (10 minutes)
In a gas-filled diner, a son disobeying his mother could lead to explosive consequences.
Mom- Late 30s to late 40s. She's had to uproot her family due to work, and is doing everything she can to keep them together. Her son is rebelling, and she's going to have to find a way to get him to listen to her. Relationship between mother and son is core of film.
Craig- 17 year-old angst. He's been ripped away from the life he's known, and resents his mother for it. He wants to stick it to her. He's recently taken up smoking, which he will come to reveal to his family.
Claire- Late teens to early 20s. Waitress of the Au Revoir Diner. Flirts with Buck.
Buck- Late teens to early 20s. Cook in the back kitchen of the Au Revoir Diner. The subject of Claire's advances.
Emily- Craig's uppity, 15 year-old younger sister. She's a millenial who principally drinks almond milk.
Time: Wednesday, September 16, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
