Subject: Tuesday's IFA Future of Film Meeting

IFA meets of the first Tuesday of every month at at 7 PM at Connect,33 South Fifth Avenue in Tucson.  The following is the schedule for the next three meetings (which will be the last three meetings of the year).

October 6.  The Future of Film. Equipment, Production, and Distribution.  Being an independent film producer is dramatically different today than it was even 10 years ago.  High definition 4K digital cameras, low energy use battery operated lights, professional quality editing and post production software, huge reductions in the cost of computer hardware (you can get 2TB drives at Costco for about $100), distribution through Netflix, Amazon Prime and a host of internet on demand sites.  The future of low cost independent filmmaking is now -- be part of the discussion about how you can be part of it.

November 3.  The Actor's Meeting. A panel of experienced actors and acting instructors will discuss theory and techniques with an emphasis on a comparison of acting for film vs acting for theater.

December 1.  Holiday Party and Board Elections.  Do you want to be on the 2016 IFA Board of Directors?  Send an e-mail expressing your interest to independentfilmarizona@gmail.com.
