Live Theatre Workshop proudly presents

THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN

by Martin McDonagh

Directed by

Amy Almquist

Featuring

Carlisle Ellis, Rhonda Hallquist, Patrick Burke, Roxanne Harley, Brian Wees, Brie Zepeda, Adam Denoyer, Gino Cocchi, Karl Haas

Set on the small Aran Islands community of Inishmaan off the Western Coast of Ireland in 1934, the inhabitants are excited to learn of a Hollywood film crew's arrival in neighboring Inishmore to make a documentary about life on the islands. "Cripple" Billy Claven, eager to escape the gossip, poverty and boredom of Inishmaan, vies for a part in the film, and to everyone's surprise, the orphan and outcast gets his chance.... or so some believe.

"McDonagh's…comic talent appears unlimited, and he also has a way…of mixing up his humor with a touch of the poet and a profound sense of tragedy always dangerously lurking on comedy's untidy fringe. In short, young McDonagh is a playwright to reckon with…" —NY Post.

Presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
