INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR GUNHILD CARLING SWINGS INTO TUCSON FOR TWO SHOWS

Swedish Multi-Instrumentalist Set to Perform at DesertView Performing Arts Center and Fox Tucson Theatre

TUCSON, AZ –  Swedish singing and instrumental sensation Gunhild Carling is coming to Arizona for the first time this April for two energetic performances: Saddlebrooke's DesertView Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:30 and the historic Fox Tucson Theatre on Friday, April 7 at 7:30.

Something of a national treasure, the singer/dancer/multi-instrumentalist recently performed for the King of Sweden's 70th birthday celebration, appeared on Season 11 of America's Got Talent, took third place in the 2014 celebrity version of the Swedish television show Let's Dance, and has played for audiences around the globe. She also partnered with popular group Postmodern Jukebox on a remake/rearrangement of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."

Gunhild Carling in Concert will showcase the Swedish sensation, and she'll be backed up by a band of all Arizona-based musicians, fronted by Khris Dodge. Gunhild will sing, dance, and play a variety of instruments: trumpet, trombone, banjo, recorder, flute, and maybe even a little jazz bagpipe! She also plays three trumpets in her finale – it's an evening you won't see anywhere else.

Tickets for the April 5 performance are available by calling (520) 825-2818 or visiting http://dvpac.net. DesertView Performing Arts Center is located at 39900 Clubhouse Drive. Tickets for the April 7 show are available by calling (520) 547-3040 or going to http://foxtucson.com
