Subject: Join Us for Virtual Film Premiere Tomorrow!
Please join us on Facebook tomorrow, Wednesday June 17, for a LIVE virtual film premiere of Pandemic of Hate: Anti-Asian Racism During COVID-19.
Following the film we'll have comments and Q&A with founder and president of Brave New Films, Robert Greenwald, Rep. Judy Chu and Rep. Ted Lieu (cosponsors of the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act), actors Kelly Hu (X-Men X2, The Scorpion King) and Brian Tee (Chicago Med, The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift) and Dr. Chen Fu, a New York doctor on the front lines of COVID-19 who was targeted on the basis of race.
In the midst of an historic reckoning with racism driven by Black Lives Matter, Pandemic of Hate exposes racism and anti-Asian bias, which has surged during the pandemic and been fueled by President Trump's xenophobic and racially-tinged rhetoric.
