Writer/Director is a recipient of the prestigious Hispanic Scholarship
Fund/McNamara Family Foundation Creative Arts Project Grant; this film is
redemption and a second chance. The short film version of what will
eventually become a feature length film.


*SYNOPSIS:* A story about how a snap judgment can diminish the value of a
human life, and man's journey toward redemption.

*SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:*
  *[**FRANK CAMACHO**] Lead/ Male / Latino or Native-American/28-35*
Frank Camacho, a cynic Arizona copper miner, whose callous façade conceals a
deep wound. A survivor, always looking out for number one, Frank will be
forced to choose between the safety of self-preservation, and the risk of
redemption.


  *[OFFICER BURROWS] Supporting/Male/Anglo or Native-American/ 30's-50's*

Officer Burrows, intense, a bit cynical, he's experienced humanity at its
most heroic and selfish.* *The images of death from years of patrolling the
highway have left their stamp on him.

*[JOHNNY* *VALDEZ]  Supporting/Male/Latino/ 20-23*

Johnny Valdez, a lone wolf, Death-Metal junkie, with a silent, wiry
demeanor, who's yearning for validation propels him into the line of fire.
A walking contradiction, he's a rookie EMT, who moonlights as a Minuteman.

*[CHANO]* *Supporting/Male/Latino or Native-American / 30's-50's          *

Chano, Ex-con, tattoo-covered teddy bear, with a heart of gold. Though he's

been to hell and back, he chooses to see the world through rose-colored
lenses.

*[TEENAGER] /Supporting / Female/ Any-Ethnicity / 16-18 yrs old.*


Heroic, she's not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. The
Good Samaritan Law was created for people like her.

*[TEENAGER] / Supporting / Male / African-American / 16-18 yrs
old.                                                     *A lifeguard at the
public pool. A bit of a cynic, he's more interested in girl watching than
saving lives.* *
