Chamber Music PLUS Southwest

 

Auditions for Mesmeric Mozart

Time: Feb. 23, Mon. from 6pm-9pm

Rehearsals and Performances: March 9 -15

Bring picture and resume if available. Bring a two minute prepared piece, if you have one.  And you will be asked to read from the script. 

 

Roles:

 

Actor #1:  Maria Theresa von Paradis, [1759-1824] vocalist/soprano, plays the character from age 17 to 57

Bring a musical piece.  A pianist will be provided.

 

Actor #2:  Dr. Franz Anton Mesmer [1733-1815]

& Soothsayer, Audience Member.  A charismatic “Star” age late 30s-late 40s

 

Actor #3:  W.A. Mozart, Ben Franklin, Barker, Herr von Paradis, Audience Member, Dr. Barth, Dr. von Stoerck .  Age 40 plus

 

Actress #4:  Chamber Maid, Frau von Paradis, Audience Member, Marie Paradis’ Secretary, Nurse Neuer.   Age late 20s – 50s

 

Actress #5:  Pianist & Small Roles:   Marie Paradis Alter-Ego, Constanze Mozart, Mesmer Assistant, Nannerl Mozart.  Age not set.

Bring resume as musician and a sample CD and/or a piece to perform. Piano will be provided.
