This Pulitzer-Prize winner by America's great comic playwright, set in 1942, begins as two young sons (Ian Mortensen and Luke Hawley) are deposited on the doorstep of their stern, tough grandma (Roberta Streicher). Their father (Eric Anson) is deeply in debt and needs to go on an extended sales trip. And so the boys find themselves in a new world with a family they hardly know - their overly rigid grandmother, their uncle Louie (Keith Wick) who may have mob connections, their capricious aunt Bella (Holli Henderson) and her secret romance, and aunt Gert (Kristi Loera) with an unusual speech impediment.
Laughter and heartwarming moments sing through this award-winning play. It's a night of entertainment for the entire family!
The show opens on Saturday, January 31, 2009 and runs through Sunday, March 8, 2009.
Showtimes are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30, Sunday matinee at 3:00.
