A V-Day Benefit Performance of the Vagina Monologues is coming to University
of
Arizona campus. The monologues are based on Eve Ensler's collection of
interviews with women from around the globe, providing an insight into the
humor, pain, and joy associated with being a woman. Proceeds will help
support
the OASIS Center, a resource for free counseling and violence prevention on
campus. In addition, each year Eve Ensler selects a specific location where
violence against women is especially prevalent to feature in a spotlight
monologue. This year's spotlight will benefit women of the Democratic
Republic
of the Congo, where rape is used as a tool of war. Come join us for an
evening
of laughter, tears, and orgasmic moans to help stop violence against women.
