2) WORKSHOPS: Sundays, 11am-1pm (starting June 5th) @ Rhythm Industry
Performance Factory:
I will be teaching weekly workshops with a combination of Butoh and

BUTOH ("zen dancing") is a contemporary dance form that materialized in
response to WWII and the constraints of Kabuki Theatre. Butoh is
connected to nature and the human condition- it is about "being"
rather than "expressing", transformation and metamorphosis.
Explorations will occur in a wide spectrum- from the grotesque to the

VIEWPOINTS, first created by Mary Overlie and further developed by Anne
Bogart, is a theoretical deconstruction and reconstruction for
post-modern theatre, experienced through improvisational ensemble and
individualized movement. Sensing, listening, witnessing, and playing
are part of developing group synergy as we intuitively and
spontaneously move through space and time. Generating bold and
theatrical work quickly, it develops flexibility, articulation, and
strength in movement.

3) SAVE THE DATES! The Water Project, March 24-28, 2010

THE WATER PROJECT is a full-on performance, installations, information
tables, and interactive lecture series around the topic of water
developed through cross-sector collaborations and community
