Storytelling and Theatre Workshop

Do you have a story to tell? Do you enjoy hearing stories? Join us for a
free Storytelling and Theatre workshop and research study!!

A University of Arizona Theatre Education and Outreach Graduate Student is
recruiting local community members to participate in a workshop and research
study consisting of storytelling and theatre activities, culminating in a
public performance. The graduate student is researching how telling and
performing personal stories can empower the research study participants. The
workshop will take place on the University of Arizona campus in the
Directing Studio, Drama Building Room 116.

Participants need to be available for the length of the project. The dates
for
workshop are Wednesday June 17 ? Sunday June 21st, 2009. The specific
times
for the workshop are Wednesday June 17th- Friday June 19th from 6:00 - 9:30
pm, Saturday June 20th from 12:00 pm ? 9pm, and Sunday June 21st from 12:00
pm ?
4:00 pm. The performance is on Saturday June 20th at 7:00 pm.

Participants need to be 18 and over. People of all ethnicities,
nationalities, gender identities, sexualities, physical abilities, language
proficiencies, and generations are encouraged to participate. No
storytelling, theatre, or performance skills or experience necessary.
