Friend of Film in Tucson,

If you believe, like I do, that a working Arizona Motion Picture Incentive Program would bring much needed jobs, revenues and millions of dollars in economic impact here - in a much shorter time frame than any other industry - you need to act now.

The Arizona Legislature convenes its 2010 session on Monday, and it will be up to them whether or not Arizona has a viable AZMOPIC program. Now is the time to make your voice heard.

Attached are talking points which include the very few changes that need to be made to the existing AZMOPIC program if we are going to compete with the likes of New Mexico.

A recent editorial in the Arizona Daily Star gave several great suggestions about what actions you can take to influence your State legislators. Read the editorial here. To find their contact info or who your legislators are go here: http://www.azleg.state.az.us/MemberRoster.asp

If you do nothing, Arizona will continue to lose business, and we will watch more successful TV series -- like USA's "In Plain Sight" and AMC's "Breaking Bad" - feature Albuquerque. We all know Tucson is better looking and has a lot more character.

Please act and let me know if you have questions.

Best,

Shelli Hall
