ACT 1 ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS 

 

THE SECRET OF THE DRAGONS DOOR

 

A new musical 

 

3 weeks: June 2-21,  AGES 6-18 / separated in appropriate groups

Performances at the Berger Performing Arts Center,  Friday, 20th, Sat 21st

Full day: 9am-4pm (FREE early drop off 8am, and late pick for 5:45 for working parents)

 

$445 includes daily classes in dance, voice, acting and stage craft IN 

ADDITION to rehearsal and materials

$100 discount for teen boys ages 12-18

 

This is a workshop/camp of an original new musical.  Those selected will work 

with professional staff from NYC and LA, and Broadway performer, director Cheryl-Ann Rossi. 

Placement by audition (But no worries, the audition will be a fun free 

workshop) AUDITION DATES:

Friday, April 18th, 6pm

Saturday, April 19th, 1pm

Saturday, May 17th, 1pm

 

 

 

Synopsis A children's musical, with some adult humor (think Shrek or Frozen)

 

Hazzah! The kingdom is buzzing with excitement as everyone prepares for 

 

the wedding of the lovely princess Flutterby. When the princess disappears 

 

into the Dark Forest, three brave knights are chosen to face the dragon 

 

and return the princess. To find the Dragons lair the knights must solve the 

 

riddles hidden in the forest and discover the secret of the dragon's door. But 

 

things, and people, are not always what they seem. The journey to the Dragon's 

 

lair is fraught with temptation and truth…intellect and illusion…sarcasm, 

 

silliness….and secrets.

 

To the Dragon, it's all a game.

 

The impatient Sir Ryan waits for his chance to save his best friend, the 

 

princess. He may not be the strongest or the bravest or the smartest knight, 

 

but Ryan has the one thing the other knights do not…and he is keeping it 

 

secret…for now.
