The Rogue Theatre Summer Acting Conservatory 

June 23rd - July 7th

6-10pm, Monday-Friday

with Matt Bowdren and David Greenwood 

$300

This two week acting intensive, led by members of the Rogue Theatre's resident acting ensemble, will explore listening, concentration, imaginative range, as well as vocal and physical skills. The two weeks will culminate in a performance of scenes for an invited audience of theatre professionals along with friends and family.

This conservatory is for actors with a basic understanding of the craft who want to increase their effectiveness and ability on stage.

Matt Bowdren has been a member of the resident acting ensemble and Education Coordinator at the Rogue Theatre for two seasons now. In which time he has appeared in Betrayal, Arcadia, Measure for Measure, Mistake of the Goddess, Richard the III and others. Matt facilitates and devises weekly training sessions with the Rogues resident company, along with being an adjunct professor of theatre at the University of Arizona and Pima College where he teaches acting and directing. Matt holds an MFA in performance from the University of Georgia and has taught and acted in Georgia and New York City with many companies including The Rose of Athens, Collaborative Stages, The Michael Chekhov Theatre, and The Hudson Shakespeare Company.

David Greenwood was a member of the cast of The Rogue Theatre's first production, The Balcony, and has recently appeared in Arcadia, Measure for Measure, Mis- take of the Goddess, Richard III, Metamorphosis, Mother Courage and Her Children, The Night Heron, Journey to the West, The Decameron, The Real Inspector Hound, Major Barbara, As I Lay Dying and The Winter's Tale. He has appeared locally in Shining City and The Birthday Party at Beowulf Alley Theatre and The One-Armed Man, The Disposal and The Glass Menagerie at Tucson Art Theatre.
