Subject: The Community Players Presents Gypsy
Gypsy is directed by Robert Ulsrud and stars Pat Shafer, Layni Direnfeld, and Jim McCallum. It is loosely based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, the famous striptease artist, and focuses on her mother, Rose, whose name has become synonymous with "the ultimate show business mother." It follows the dreams and efforts of Rose to raise two daughters to perform onstage.
Gypsy will be performed at the Community Playhouse, 1881 N. Oracle Road. Parking and the main entrance are in the rear of the building.
Performances are from November 1-23, with start times at 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:00 pm on Sundays. General Admission tickets are $16, students/seniors/military are $13 and all tickets are just $10 on Fridays. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by phone at 887-6239.
