BOARD OF DIRECTORS
IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE APPOINTMENT OF
SUSAN ARNOLD AS THE COMPANY's ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Our Board and Ensemble Members are thrilled to bring Susan's skills and experience to Winding Road. Susan served as Artistic Director of Detroit's Attic Theatre before re-locating to Tucson, where she has worked extensively as a performer and director. She will officially begin her tenure on July 1, 2015 at the start of our 7th Season:
Oct 2015: George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan, directed by Susan Arnold
Shaw's stirring play in six scenes and an epilogue will be performed by five actors, with Lucille Petty in the title role.
Feb 2016: Sovereign Body by Emilie Beck, directed by Katherine Monberg
Winding Road will bring the playwright to Tucson to work with us on her play – the moving, funny, complex and strange story of a woman's struggle to reclaim her body after being struck by Parkinson's.
Spring 2016: Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Leslie Miller
The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright's wacky, charming, harrowing and hilarious work continuously shifts from satire to black comedy to realism, giving a whole new meaning to the "coming of age" story.
